MANILA20bet, Philippines — A man known for producing, possessing and selling videos of children being sexually abused has been convicted for sexual abuse and exploitation of children by a Manila court.
The court found that the 54-year-old suspect, identified only as “Blondie,” was guilty of two counts of violating Section 4(r) of Republic Act 11930, or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children Law.
The conviction stemmed from a cyber warrant operation carried out by the Women and Children Cybercrime Protection Unit of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group last Aug. 19.
The operation, conducted in Manila, led to Blondie’s arrest and the confiscation of evidence linking him to the production and online sale of explicit videos involving children.
The court sentenced Blondie to imprisonment of two to six years.
He was also ordered to pay P30,000 in civil liabilities to the two minor victims.
The court also issued a permanent protection order requiring the convict to maintain a minimum distance of 10 meters from the victims.20bet
